Computer Society of India

Computer Society of India formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 73 chapters all over India, over 500 student branches, and more than 100000 members including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.

The mission of the CSI is to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT professionals, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the industry and helping them to integrate into the IT community. The CSI is also working closely with other industry associations, government bodies and academia to ensure that the benefits of IT advancement ultimately percolate down to every single citizen of India.

It was established in the year 2004. Under CSI, CSE department regularly organizes workshops, seminars,main project, mini project, and hobby project exhibition; blind coding, paper presentations skill Test, Java skill Testetc., and technical talks for the benefit of professionals and conducting continuing education and professional development programmes for students.

    INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS  ASSOCIATION

TECHNOBOOMis a student association run by students of IT department. The main objective is to provide platform to students to explore their skills and knowledge through extra-curricular activities in the field of IT. Technoboom is committed to the overall development of IT students by organizing various technical and non-technical activities.

An event is conducted every week and students are persuaded to participate in the events, the main goal of these activities is to help the students discover themselves, to develop leadership qualities, to understand how to work in a team, acquire skills, become competent, to learn time management and also to become proficient

Finally, the winners of the events are awarded prizes on Traditional Day of IT Department.

In addition, Technoboom takes lead in organizing events like “Teachers Day”, “Fresher’s day” and “Farewell function”.

Functions:

  • Develop and explore the student’s strengths and talents outside of academics.
  • Giving opportunity to the students to build friendships and participate in group activities outside of the tight circle of the regular classroom.
