Information Technology
The Internet of Things (IoT) Center of Excellence
IoT provides an infrastructure with several hundred commercial IoT sensors, gateways and other IoT devices. The main thrust of the lab is on development of applications based on senor, communication and other technologies to help in monitoring, management and control of information system. This lab supports students to explore the opportunities to actively utilize the various IoT devices and quickly analyze operational data collected from these IoT devices using artificial intelligence based analytics. It provides full control of network nodes and direct access to gateways to which nodes are connected for providing quick experiments deployment along with easy evaluation and analysis.
Activities
The IoT CoE carry out various research and student projects involving sensor data collection, network architecture and embedded intelligence for wide range applications such as agriculture, health care, home, city infrastructure development, etc.
PG Student Projects developed using infrastructure of IoT :
- Design and implementation of RFID Cloud based Vehicle identification system on Highway
