About EEE Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was started in the year 1997 with an intake of 60 and further increased to 120 in the year 2009.The department is constantly catering to the needs of the industry by training students to make valuable contribution and is constantly striving hard to produce qualified technocrats. Quality education is being imparted both at UG and and PG Level. The infrastructure and lab facilities of the department are being upgraded from time to time thus providing ample opportunity for the student. As per the curriculum laid down by the affiliating university important areas such as generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power, microprocessor systems etc. are included in the prescribed syllabus. Thus the students will be well fortified with the cutting-edge technological progresses that are trendy in the field of electrical engineering. The Department is responsible for Electrical maintenance of the entire Institution and also for the manning & operation of 750KVA(500KVA+250KVA) Diesel Power House.

PG Course

The first PG course of the Institution in “Power Electronics & Electric Drives” was started by the Department in July 2004. Full-fledged laboratories, “Power Electronics & Electric Drives Lab” and “Simulation Lab” have been established.

A distinct feature of the dept. is that both UG & PG programs are accredited by NBA.

In addition to regular labs with equipment worth nearly one core, a well-established R&D lab, virtual labs, caters to the research needs of both students and faculty.

Most of the eligible students got placed in various companies including Software and Core Companies including Robert Bosch, ABB Power and L&T…

The department is responsible for the maintenance of Power House and other electrical utilities including the 160 KW solar power plant in the entire campus.
