The Centre of Assistive Technology, established in 2018, is a dynamic hub dedicated to advancing accessibility and inclusivity through innovative technological solutions. Committed to community outreach and education, the centre raises awareness about the importance of accessibility in technology and adapts its programs to develop devices, which help elderly, mental health issues in rural women and screening development disorders in children. Through collaborative research initiatives, the centre has submitted proposals to various funding agencies and developed prototypes resulting in patents and publications.

Objectives:

  • To develop assistive devices that cater to diverse user needs of rural population, bedridden patients, elderly persons.
  • To do research & develop applications for screening developmental disorders in children.
  • To study mental health challenges in women and the elderly, aiming to design tailored devices and applications for enhanced support and well-being.
  • To develop association between academia and industry for the benefit of the skill development to students and faculties.
