IETE ISF student’s committee-GNITS

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India’s leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. Founded in 1953. The IETE is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT Professionals. It serves Corporate members, Student and ISF members through various Centres, spread all over India and abroad. The Institution provides leadership in Scientific and Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence.
The IETE Student Chapter of G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science, Shaikpet, was established in the academic year 2003 with the aim of encouraging active participation in IETE activities and enhancing students’ technical and communication skills to facilitate their career development.
We organize different technical events every year through our IETE student chapter. These include things like quizzes, coding puzzles, presentations, guest talks, workshops, contests, project expos, treasure hunts, industrial visits, and mock interviews. Our primary goal is to offer a robust platform that empowers students to showcase their talents while fostering a competitive spirit. These events help improve communication, boost technical knowledge, and build confidence in students. We believe in creating opportunities for students to learn and grow in the field of technology.
We have bagged consecutively 3 times IETE ISF Awards given by IETE Hyderabad centre (over all Telangana and AP) –
-> 2021 year- 2^nd Best ISF Faculty Coordinator Award
-> 2022 year- Best IETE –ISF college Award
-> 2023 year- 2^nd Best IETE –ISF college Award.

Academic Year 2023-24

Functions of the IETE-Student Forum cell:

IETE focus on advancing electro-technology. The IETE conducts and sponsors technical events and provides continuing education as well as career advancement opportunities to its members.

Roles and Responsibilities of IETE Student Forum committee members:

1. Convener/President (HOD, ECE Department): Chairperson of the committee and selects the Faculty Advisors, Vice- President, Secretory, Treasurer and committee members. Over all final level Advisory of Committee meetings, Events planning and conducting.

2. Faculty Coordinator and Faculty Advisors: Promoting the membership drive, supporting President in electing all the student committee members, planning events and dates of the events coordinating with president and all levels of student committee, organizing the events with all the facilities required for the events.

Preparing circular and Report for individual events and finally summarizing the events reports in coordination with Vice- President, Secretory, Treasurer and committee members.

3. Vice- President: Helps Faculty adviser in planning and organizing the events in coordination with Secretory, Treasurer and committee members.

4. Secretory: Helps Faculty adviser and Vice President in planning and organizing the events in coordination with committee members of each section.

5. Treasurer: All the financial aspects functioning under the advisory of president and faculty coordinators are taken care for events whenever required.

6. Committee members: Two Committee members from each section helps in communicating with their sections in all respect like sending circulars of events, encouraging to participate in the events clarifying any doubts related to events Procedure.

Committee Composition:

Committee compose of

President (HOD, ECE Department),
Faculty coordinator and Faculty Advisors (decided by President),
Vice- President (ECE final year Student who served ISF best at a position as secretory and Joint Secretory in previous years),
Secretory (ETE final year Student who served ISF as best member in previous years or interviewed by president if more students are interested to this position),
Treasurer (elected by president)

Committee members:

Two Committee members are selected from each section, elected by their section students and interviewed by president.
