Over the past five years, GNITS has made significant strides in innovation and intellectual property, reflecting our commitment to research and development. Our faculty and students have successfully published 57 patents, with a consistent increase in activity each year. In addition, 9 patents have been granted during this period, showcasing our capability to translate groundbreaking research into recognized intellectual property. In 2023 alone, GNITS published 13 patents, marking a peak in our research output, and secured 1 patent grant, further solidifying our position as a leader in technological innovation.

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

Dr. A. Sharada

Professor & Head
M.Tech, Ph.D, FIE, Professor & HOD, CSE

Dr.A.Sharada, Professor & Head, CSE dept., obtained Ph.D. from JNTUH in the area of Speech Recognition. She is currently working on many innovative R&D projects in the areas of Voice Assistants for Elderly and Patient care, Mental Health Analysis, Assistive Technology, and Augmented & Virtual Reality which were presented at DST, New Delhi, and won prizes and Best Paper Awards. She has been working in CSE Dept. for the last 21 years.

As a Consultant to Gauthami software solutions, she has developed content for the Gradiance portal of Stanford University. To her credit, she has a license for the research work done in finalizing the Telugu Phone set and Phoneme chart applicable to Speech Recognition research under Creative Commons Unported License and 3 patents. She has received research grants worth 6.25 lakhs and submitted numerous research proposals to various funding agencies. As Program Chair she has organized AICTE-GOC Sponsored International Conference at GNITS, Hyderabad during November 18-19, 2022. She is a recognized Supervisor and Co-Supervisor for various universities such as JNTUH, KLU, etc and 2 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under her guidance. Dr.Sharada received Best Teacher Award from Institute for Exploring Advances in Engineering in March 2018. Dr.Sharada adopted many books for various universities and reviewed books on UML, C, Data Structures, C++, and JAVA for popular publishers like Tata McGrawHill, Pearson, Oxford University Press, etc. She has published around 35 papers in International Journals like Springer and ACM and in International conferences. As a Resource person, she delivered lectures in workshops in addition to coordinating workshops on recent trends. She served as Reviewer, National Advisory Board Member, and Steering committee member of various National/International Journals and Conferences. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Life Member of CSI and IEAE.

Dr. O. Obulesu

Dr. O. Obulesu, was awarded Ph.D from JNTUA Anantapur, A.P in 2017. He has 15 years of teaching experience in reputed institutions. He is currently working as Associate Professor & Head for the Departments of CSE (AI & ML) and CSE (Data Science). He is a Reviewer for DST SERB-POWER scheme and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems & Springer SN-Computer Science Journals. He received Best Professor Award by Indian Servers at VRSEC, Vijayawada, A.P. He Received Best Paper Award at SRM University, Chennai in 2014. He has published 48 Research papers in National/International Journals and Conferences. He has conducted an AICTE-GOC Sponsored International Conference at GNITS, Hyderabad during November 18-19, 2022 as a Program Co-Coordinator. He delivered sessions as a resource person in various FDPs/Workshops in the areas of Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Data visualization using R. He is a Recognized Supervisor and Co-Supervisor for various universities such as JNTUH, KLU and MBU, Tirupati. 02 Research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under his guidance. He is an expert member of BoS at NBKRIST, Nellore, A.P. He is a Module Coordinator for various courses relevant to CSE-Data Science specialization. He serves as Reviewer, Program committee member of various National/International Journals and Conferences. He is a Life member of CSI and member of ACM & IAENG professional societies.

Dr. K. Ragini

Dr.K.Ragini, completed her Ph.D from JNTUH in VLSI Specialization. She has 26 Years of Teaching Experience. She had published papers in 42 reputed International, National journals and listed in the IEEE conference proceedings and scopus indexed journals. She have actively participated in various Research activities and submitted Research Proposals to various funding Agencies in VLSI ,IOT and Embedded systems. She established VLSI Lab of 10 lakhs worth equipment in the department .

She has Authored 3 Books, one Patent published and 3 patents Applied. Received “Women Achiever” Award from Accenture on women’s day 2017, ‘Academic Excellence Award’ in GNITS in 2007.Received second Best-IETE-ISF Award for year 2022-2023,from IETE Center –Telangana. Received SPOC Certificate of Appreciation from NPTEL for instrumental role as SPOC for SWAYAM-NPTEL Local chapter for 5 consecutive years ,2017, 2018, 2019,2020 , 2021 and 2022.

Conducted successfully AICTE Sponsored Short Term Training Programme on “Embedded systems in IOT” for faculty with a funding of 3.69 lakhs.and ATAL-AICTE Sponsored FDP on “Wearable Devices” with a funding of Rs.93, 000. She is convenor for two ATAL-FDP’s in “Image Fusion Techniques and Applications for Enhanced Visual Perception”and “Advancements in IOT-Driven Antennas for Satellite Navigation Systems”Each worth of 3.5 Lakhs. Conducted 34 Faculty Development programmes in GNITS. Presently Guiding one Ph.D Student. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Life Member of IETE Professional Body.

Dr. S. Ramacharan is working as Professor & Head of the Department in Information Technology (IT) department in G.Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS). He received B. E in Computer Science and Engineering from Gulbarga University in the year 1997, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTU Kakinada in 2007 and Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering in the area of Software Engineering in April 2017 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad

He has vast teaching experience of 25 years, working in GNITS for 23 years 6 months previous worked in Vasavi College of Engineering (1998-2000). He has published 30 papers in National & International such as LNSE Journal, ACM journal, IEEE conference proceedings. He has act as Technical committee member for 16 international Conferences and Editorial board member of 5 international journals. And He is a member of professional bodies like ISTE, CSI.

Dr.P. RamaKrishna Reddy is a highly accomplished and respected academician serving as the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at our Esteemed Engineering college. With over 23 years of experience in the field, Dr. P. RamaKrishna Reddy has made significant contributions to research and education.

Dr.P. RamaKrishna Reddy completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a renowned Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and has since been actively involved in both teaching and research. His areas of expertise include Power Systems, Renewable Energy, Gas stations, Green Energy system etc. He has published numerous research papers in reputed International journals and Conferences. He has been granted with a Patent IPMI- Advanced Grid Connected Systems: Intelligent Power Quality Monitoring and Improvement in Advanced Grid Connected Systems on 23/12/20 with patent no: 2020103327.  Under his exemplary guide ship, the R&D Department of EEE has submitted two proposals ‘Implementation of Rooftop PV assisted electric vehicle using Intelligent control of Supercapacitor & Battery’ and ‘Design, Development and Implementation Of Floating Aerator And Plastic Collecting Seabin Powered By Solar- Photovoltaic System To Rejuvenate Lakes’ Ecosystem’ to MNRE in the year 2022

He has mentored several students, guiding them in their research oriented work and career aspirations. Under his leadership, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department has witnessed a surge in industry collaborations and internships, providing valuable practical exposure to students.

Dr. P. RamaKrishna Reddy is also actively involved in professional bodies and served as a Additional Controller of Examinations. He believes in fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment, promoting interdisciplinary research, and preparing students to tackle real-world challenges.

Currently working as a Professor & Head, Electronics and Telematics Engineering department, G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad with a total of 21 years of teaching experience.

Guided Four Ph.D Students successfully. Total of 37 research articles are published in international journals (out of which 19 are in Scopus/SCI/WoS and remaining are published in  peer reviewed Journal) and 11 papers are presented in international conference(out of which 3 are  Scopus indexed) . Won the BEST PAPER award for the paper entitled “Wavelet Domain Texture Inpainting Based on Mean Absolute Error” in International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electrical, Electronics and Communication Technologies-ICECIT- 2012. Won the GOLD CERTIFICATE for the paper entitled “Texture Inpainting using Statistical Parameters in Wavelet Domain” in International Conference on Communications, Signal Processing, Computing and Information Technologies-2014 Selected as FIRST BEST TEACHER by the students multiple times.
