1.Industrial Visit to Pavaman Aviation Private Limited

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) at GNITS organized an industrial visit to Pavaman Aviation
Pvt. Ltd. and to Milstar RF and Microwave Systems Pvt. Ltd. on August 7 th 2025. A group of 20
students visited Pavaman Aviation's office at Nanakramguda, where they were introduced to various
aspects of drone technology. The session covered the types of drones, their applications in sectors
like agriculture, and the career opportunities available in the rapidly expanding UAV industry.
Experts provided a comprehensive overview of drone technologies, including: types of drones
(Fixed-wing, Multirotor, Hybrid), design and functioning of drones, payload integration and
navigation systems, role of drones in precision agriculture, surveillance, mapping, and logistics,
regulatory guidelines and DGCA certifications. A detailed presentation was delivered on the future
scope and career paths in the UAV industry, including opportunities in R&D, drone piloting, data
analytics and entrepreneurship.
After the technical session, the students were taken to Pavaman’s field site at Moinabad,
where they witnessed live demonstrations of drone operations over different crops. The team
showcased how drones are used for crop spraying and monitoring, explaining the varying techniques
based on crop types. The Milstar team showcased drone jamming equipment and explained its
operation. They demonstrated how the jammers disrupt communication links between the drone and
its controller, rendering the drone inoperable. The equipment was explained in the context of security
applications, including use at airports, military sites and sensitive areas to prevent unauthorized
drone activity. This experience provided students with a direct understanding of how drone
technology is applied in real-world scenarios.
The students provided feedback, describing the visit as highly informative and motivating.
Many expressed renewed interest in pursuing careers in drone technology. Overall, the visit served
as an excellent opportunity for practical learning and industrial exposure.






2.Industrial Visit to Unistring Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The IETE Student Forum of G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science organized
an industrial visit to Unistring Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (UTS), Kondapur, Hyderabad, on 25th
October 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A total of 27 students from B.Tech and M.Tech
participated in the visit, aimed at gaining practical exposure to advanced technologies in RADAR
and simulators, embedded systems, and defence communication systems.
During the visit, the UTS technical team provided an overview of their work in Electronic
Warfare systems, FPGA-based design, VLSI prototyping, real-time embedded systems, and
signal processing. Students observed demonstrations of hardware design, simulation, and testing
processes, and learned how technologies like Verilog/VHDL, SoC design, and embedded
programming are applied in developing high-end defence and aerospace products. The interaction
with industry experts offered valuable insights into current trends and challenges in electronics
research and development.
Students shared positive feedback, expressing that the visit was highly informative and
motivating. They appreciated understanding how theoretical concepts are implemented in real-world
applications and found the exposure to advanced R&D practices at UTS very beneficial for their
academic and professional growth.







3.Industrial Visit to NRSC Outreach Facility, Jeedimetla
The IETE Student Forum of G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science organized
an industrial visit to NRSC Outreach Facility, Jeedimetla on 24th November 2025, around 60
students from II-Year have been participated. The visit was aimed at giving students exposure to
real-time space technology applications, remote sensing processes, and the operational activities
carried out under ISRO, helping bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical
understanding.
During the session, NRSC experts briefed the students about ISRO’s launch vehicles,
ongoing ISRO–NASA collaborations, and key concepts related to remote sensing. Students were
shown various 3D satellite models, including highlights of Chandrayaan-3, and were introduced to
different satellite tracking systems and global space centres, including those in extreme locations
such as Antarctica. The team also discussed future project opportunities that students can pursue in
their 4th year and explained the internship options available from the 3rd year onward, offering
valuable guidance for academic and career planning.
Students expressed highly positive feedback, stating that the visit helped them clearly
understand the practical significance of the concepts learned in class. They appreciated the detailed
demonstrations, the clarity with which complex topics were explained, and the insights provided on
career paths in space technology, satellite communication, and research. Overall, the visit proved to
be educational and motivating, giving students a strong enthusiasm to explore opportunities in the
space and remote sensing domains.





Industrial visits for Academic Year 2024-25

1. Ananth Technologies
ECE department organized an “Industrial Visit to Ananth Technologies” in Hitech city
Madhapur Hyderabad on 16/10/2024 . The total number of students participated are 24 with 2
faculty V. Radhakrishna and Dr. Renuka Devi S M.

2. AAI
ECE department of GNITS has organized an Industrial visit to “AAI Begumpet”
on 03/12/2024 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. On 03/12/2024 a total of 25 students 2 nd
and 3 rd year ECE Dept accompanied by 1 faculty member of ECE Dept. Attended to
AAI. Industrial visit is AAI Begumpet is centered around the functioning of the
Airport Traffic and Control and includes tasks such as Monitoring, maintenance
of the airplanes through Installation and configuration of computer systems

3. Unistring Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd
ECE department organized an industrial visit to Unistring Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a
leading technology company specializing in embedded systems, electronic warfare,
signal processing, and defence solutions. The visit was conducted in two batches on
15th February 2025 and 22nd February 2025, with a total of 37 students
participating in this enriching experience.

4. NRSC
ECE, ETE departments of GNITS has organized an Industrial visit to “NRSC-
Jeedimetla” on 17/03/2025 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM in coordination with Mr. V.V.
Ganesh. A total of 164 students (B.Tech and M.Tech)accompanied by 3 faculties of ECE
& ETM Dept had visited the NRSC.The Industrial Visit to NRSC was conducted as a co-
curricular event in order to create awareness regarding various Remote Sensing
Applications, Launched, satellites, Different stages present in launch vehicles and
disaster management. The Speaker Mr. T. S. Prasad, Scientist-SG gave a demo about
the establishment of the NRSC and National Remote Sensing Centre's (NRC) facilities,
focusing particularly on launch vehicles and their pivotal role in space programs and also
shown the satellite models. Through this industrial visit, students were able to gain the
Knowledge in the domain of space exploration and satellite deployment. Overall feedback
by students was very good on industrial visit to NRSC.

Industrial visits
2023-24

The Industrial visits organised under GNITS- IETE student chapter for ECE & ETE Branches in the Academic year 2023-24 are as follows.

The IETE Student Forum has organized an “Industrial Visit to Kwality Photonics” in Kushaiguda, Secunderabad on 13/12/2023 and 20/12/2023 for ECE. The total number of students participated are 106 on 13/11/2023 with 2 faculty B. Pavani and V. Radhakrishna sir and 63 on 20/11/2023 with faculty Y Rakesh Kumar.

A “Industrial Visit” to “SDSC-SHAR(ISRO)” was organized on 14/03/2024 for final and 2nd year students of ECE & ETE. The objective of the visit was to provide a technical exposure to the students about Space Technology. The visit gave great exposure to the students about the future career prospects and areas of research in applied sciences. The event was successful to attract as many as participants of 87 members including 3 faculty Y Rakesh Kumar, G Krishna Kishore and Dr. C. Padmaja. The resource person effectively conveyed information on satellite launching using Rockets and showed the launching pads. We had chance to see the visuals of launching satellites. The feedback from students is collected during the visit, highlighting the impact and insights gained from the industrial visit.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) unit, ECE, ETE departments of GNITS has organized an Industrial visit to “NRSC- Jeedimetla” on 22/04/2024 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM in coordination with Mr. V.V. Ganesh. A total of 90 students including 5 student coordinators of 3rd year ECE, EEE and ETE Dept accompanied by 1 faculty coordinator of EEE Dept and 1 faculty coordinator of ETE Dept had visited the NRSC.

The Speaker Mr. R. Srinivas, Scientist-SF gave a demo about the establishment of the NRSC and National Remote Sensing Centre’s (NRC) facilities, focusing particularly on launch vehicles and their pivotal role in space programs and also shown the satellite models.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) unit, ECE, ETE departments of GNITS has organized an Industrial visit to “NRSC- Jeedimetla” on 29/03/2023 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM in coordination with Mr. V.V. Ganesh. A total of 106 students including 6 student coordinators of 3rd year ECE and ETE Dept accompanied by 2 faculty coordinators of ECE Dept and 1 faculty coordinator of ETE Dept had visited the NRSC.

The Industrial Visit to NRSC was conducted as a co-curricular event in order to create awareness regarding various Remote Sensing Applications and processing, Aerial Services, data dissemination, and decision support for disaster management.

The Speaker Mr. R. Srinivas, Scientist-SF gave a demo about the establishment of the NRSC and the work done by a satellite. He explained in detail about the Indian evolution in rocket launching and satellite and contribution of different ISROs towards it. Different aspects affecting the rocket launch were also discussed.

Through this industrial visit, students were able to keenly observe the backend work of the satellite and work done by the satellite.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) unit, ECE & ETE department of GNITS has organized an Industrial visit to “ATC AAI SHAMSHABAD” on 18/03/2023 and 27/03/2023 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM for 2 days. On 18/03/2023 a total of 43 students including 3 coordinators of 4th year ECE and ETE Dept accompanied by 2 faculty members of ECE Dept and 2 faculty members of ETE Dept. On 27/03/2023 a total of 53 students including 3 coordinators of 4th year ECE and ETE Dept accompanied by 3 faculty members of ECE Dept had visited the ATC AAI. 

About the Industrial visit:

Industrial visit is about the work of an AAI Junior Executive (ATC), is centered around proper functioning of the Airport Traffic and Control and includes tasks such as Monitoring, maintenance of the airplanes through Installation and configuration of computer systems.

In ATC building students visited navigation room, area control room, AWS room and tower of ATC building. The working of the radar system was explained in detail by Dr. A. Ramesh Kumar , Assistant General Manager (CNS).

Through this industrial visit, students were able to keenly observe the backend work happening from the takeoff to landing of an airplane successfully.

Industrial Visit to Kwality Photonics – kushaiguda

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) unit, ECE & ETE department of GNITS has organized an Industrial visit to “Kwality Photonics – kushaiguda  ” on 20/04/2023 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM on 20/04/2023. Total 51 students of 2nd year ECE and ETE Dept accompanied by 2 faculty members had visited the Kwality Photonics – kushaiguda. 

About the Industrial visit: Which Includes Kwality Electronics Industries And Kwality Photonics Pvt. Ltd. Is INDIA’s Largest Producer of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), LED Displays & Opto Electronic Products. Quality Leader – Having Obtained ISO 9001:2000 And Consistently. Explained about the chip design related to LED, and explained about how they work in killing bacteria in the room. Through this industrial visit, students were able to keenly observe the backend work happening in chip design.

As a part of enhancing the practical knowledge of our B.Tech and M.Tech students from GNITS, Planned an Industrial  Visit to Kwality Photonics, Kushaiguda, Secunderabad Telangana with 100 students  on 5/1/22(Wednesday)  and again 105 students  on 6/1/22(Thursday) from 9.30 A.M to 2.30 PM.

2019-20

Industrial visit to SDSC-SHAR (ISRO)

An industrial visit to SDSC-SHAR (ISRO), Sriharikota has been organized by Department of Electronics and communication Engineering, GNITS, in association with IETE Students Chapter, with 94 students of final year B.Tech students on 29th October, 2019. The objective of the visit was to provide a technical exposure to the students about Space Technology. The visit gave great exposure to the students about the future career prospects and areas of research in applied sciences. ISRO is the primary Space agency of India and one of the largest space research organizations in the world. SATHISH DHAWAN SPACE CENTRE (SDSC) or SRIHARIKOTA HIGH ALTITUDE RANGE (SHAR) is a rocket launch centre operated by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). It is located in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.  After several security checks and administration formalities, students were taken to a central building. In this place, they were shown a video-‘Gateway to Space’-on the ISRO, its history and the current facilities available. The GSLV and PLSV are the two launch vehicles used currently by ISRO to launch satellite into the geosynchronous and polar orbits respectively. The students were taken to first and second launch pads. These are the locations that are broadcasted on television for every rocket launch. The students also visited Mission Control Centre (MCC). MCC is the focal point of controlling the vehicle. There are four rows in MCC where various chiefs of operations are seated and supervise the control of the launch vehicle. A guide accompanied the students and gave the information about the basic principles involved in the launch of rockets. Finally, students visited the Space Museum and were allowed to take photographs, where got an opportunity to know about the history of SHAR with the aid of many models related to the center.

2018-19

Industrial Visit- National Remote Sensing Centre

  • Under IETE Student forum, to enhance the practical knowledge of II B.Tech ECE students a One day “Industrial Visit” was organized by Electronics & Communication department on 1/3/ 2019 for the students of M. Tech and B.Tech Final year to give them awareness about the actual field work at NRSC (National Remote Sensing Centre). Total 53 students went for industrial tour on 1/3/2019.

  • One day “Industrial Visit” was organized by Electronics & Communication department on 2/03/2019 for the students of B. Tech 2nd year to give them awareness about the actual field work at Hyderabad Metro Rail. Total 60 students went for industrial tour on 2/3/2019.
