Center for Data Science in Health Care(CDSHC) is established by the Department of CSE(Data Science) in GNITS. CDSHC is an organized research unit founded in 2022 for Data Science in  Health Care, was started for the benefit of UG, PG students, Research scholars and faculty members. This research center converts data into actionable decisions and creates innovative solutions that influence the lives of people in positive ways. The center is equipped with Data Analytics and Data Science and statistical computing and other open source simulation tools, software such as R Studio, Weka, Rapidminer, MATLAB, Python and Meghdoot Cloud by C-DAC, Chennai.

The Centre motivates the research activity in the fields of  Data Science. The center provides the infrastructure facilities required to carry out research work in the domains of Health care applications of  Data science by students, scholars and faculty. The aim of the center is to build systems and algorithms to extract knowledge, find patterns, generate insights, predict and visualize diverse data for healthcare and agricultural applications through web and cloud based services with the support of  I & T Labs, Vishakhapatnam.

Objectives

  • To predict high risk conditions in chronic diseases such as Diabetes and Heart-attacks using Data Analytics tools.
  • To conduct advanced Research & Development in Data Science to solve the issues in Health Care and Social Networks.
  • To conduct research on multi-criteria based decision making for Data Science Applications.
  • To build automated solutions to the problems related to Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, Statistical Analysis.
  • A Recommender system to predict health issues related to women and children using analytics and prediction models.
