Center for Computer Vision and Deep Learning (CCVDL) is established by the Department of CSE(AI&ML) in GNITS. CCVDL is an organized research unit founded in 2022, as a cutting-edge hub for AI exploration. The center was formed as a specialized group to coordinate advanced research in all aspects of artificial intelligence, sensor systems, image analysis, computer vision and deep learning, and facilitates collaboration and interaction with industry sponsors. It helps students with the objective of bridging the gap between theory and application to improve their skills, leading to new ideas in technology and the creation of useful smart systems. The center provides the infrastructure facilities required to carry out research work. It also contributes to a future in which intelligent machines play a transformative role in reshaping the world. In 2023, CCVDL formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with I&T Labs. Vishakapatnam.
Objectives
- To push boundaries in Computer Vision through cutting-edge research.
- To organize workshops, seminars, and courses to share knowledge with the wider community
- To encourage teamwork among researchers, industry professionals, and academics in the field of Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- To develop automated solutions for challenges in Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence
