Department of Mechanical Engineering is an ancillary Department serving the main Engineering Departments. The Department handles Engineering Graphics, Design Thinking and Engineering Workshop Lab for I/IV B-Tech students. The Department deals with the subjects of Operations Research, Research Methodology and Industrial Safety.

GNITS offers labs to enhance students’ communication and employability skills. The ELCS Lab helps first-year B.Tech students learn English, while the Employability and Soft Skills Lab equips third-year students with professional skills. The SPDC, funded by AICTE, provides targeted training to SC/ST students.
