English Language Communication Skills Lab

In view of tremendous changes over the past few years in English Language Learning and Teaching, in terms of Methods and Approach, GNITS under the department H&M has ELCS (English Language and Communication Skills Lab) for the I B.Tech students. ELCS Lab focuses on the production and practice of Sounds of English language and familiarizes the students with the use of English in everyday situations both in Formal and Informal context. The Lab has two parts – Computer Aided Language Learning LAB and Interactive Communication Skills LAB CALL LAB caters to listening and Reading of the LSRW skills of English Language. ICS LAB caters to the Writing and Speaking aspects of LSRW skills in language learning.

Employability and Soft Skills Lab

This lab equips the III year B. Tech students to face the various challenges of communication, as well as behavioral traits in professional and personal front of their lives. It enhances Soft skills like Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Decision-making etc, enabling the students to understand its importance in Employability. It empowers the students with career planning and Job Readiness. Student centric methods like Experiential Learning, Participative Learning and Problem-Solving are focused in the activities devised.

Skills and Personality Development Centre  (SPDC)

The Institute has created Skill and Personality Development program Centre (SPDC) which is sponsored/ funded by AICTE under the scheme of Quality Improvement Scheme (AQIS) for the year 2019-20 as a central facility that will conduct skill and personality development training for the SC/ST students of our institution. The SPDC scheme provides opportunity to SC/ST students in the institute to reorient and empower themselves in the light of emerging employment opportunities at all levels. The Centre is equipped with High-end computers, printers, projectors etc. required for learning. To strengthen the overall personality and employability of SC/ST students, the training programs on communication skills and technical skills are conducted regularly.
