Report on Mock Parliament held at Rastrapathi Nilayam, Hyderabad on 25 Nov,2023

On the occasion of Constitution Day, our students participated in the Mock Parliament session organised by the Rastrapathi Nilayam on 25th November 2023.
The Mock Parliament event provided a platform for aspiring young leaders to engage in meaningful discussions, debates, and legislative processes. It was a great opportunity for our students to showcase their skills and passion for debate and public speaking. More importantly, the event helped the participants to develop social awareness and also develop interest and inclination on contemporary local, national and international issues. By participating in this prestigious event, they not only gained valuable insights into the functioning of a democratic system but also also won prizes.

Dr.M.Madhavilata, Professor & Head, HM Department
Dr. M. Madhavilata working as an Associate Professor of Mathematics joined GNITS in 2001 and heading the department of Humanities and Mathematics from 1st July 2023. She did her M.Sc. in Mathematics from NIT, Warangal in the year 2000. She did her Ph. D from JNTUK, Kakinada in 2011 and area of research is Operations Research-Inventory models. She has 10 Research Publications and one book publication to her credit. She guided one research scholar and got awarded in 2020. She applied for SERB research project and awaiting for further evaluation. She served as NSS Program Officer for 9 years. She has taken various administrative responsibilities at department level and institutional level. Dr. Madhavilata has an enriching experience in teaching Mathematics and conducted various workshops like Fourier Transforms and its applications, Mathematics in Engineering research and Industry 4.0. She is a member of associations like ORSI, IEEE, IEANG, WASET. As a Board of studies member she made significant contribution in designing new subjects in Mathematics like Introduction to Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematical foundations in Data Science, Statistical foundations in Data science and Transform techniques and Applications. She is a recipient of Best women Researcher Award by SSRN.
