About Innovation and Incubation

GNITS Incubation Centre is a first of its kind Academic Women Incubator focusing on Deep Tech sector. Incubation activities came under Innovation and Incubation Cell in July 2022 & GNITS have been selected to set up Atal Incubation Center (AIC) by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog in the campus on 7th Feb ,2023.

AIC- G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (For Women) (AIC-GNITS) is designed to provide a springboard to budding entrepreneurs who wish to launch themselves into the world of technology-based business careers. Entrepreneurs’ bright ideas to develop a product or service using advanced technology solutions can find fertile ground at AIC-GNITS.

AIC – GNITS’s is designed to provide entrepreneurs with all the support to make technology-based business ventures successful. The highly innovative and productive environment of AIC-GNITS provides entrepreneurs with the right ambience to build up technology ventures at international standards. AIC-GNITS is restricted to high-tech Startups with technology products and innovations within a limited time frame that literally makes the entrepreneur seriously work on her product idea and boost her to come up with a ‘Market viable prototype.

AIC – GNITS’s audacious goal is to enable and support more women enter into STEM entrepreneurship. AIC-GNITS would support entrepreneurs in all levels viz.,

Objectives of the program

Based upon the Vison and Mission, G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS) Hyderabad has established a section 8 company in the name of “AIC GNITS Foundation” to achieve the objectives and goals of AIC as laid down by AIM, NITI Ayog. The objective of the AIC program is to offer unique and incentivized solutions, which will encourage women students, researchers or any individual/group of individuals to ideate and design novel innovative solutions for the communities in and around the Atal Incubation Centre. In order to meet this purpose, the program offers enabling freedom to come up with innovative solutions under this program.

Recognizing the invaluable contribution of women in technology, our organization is proud to announce the establishment of the Women’s Deep Tech Incubator under the aegis of its constituted board. This initiative aims to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for women entrepreneurs in deep tech. The program would deliver the objectives to ensure,

Nurture women innovators to ideate in areas of Deep Tech, Clean Tech, Sustainability, ESDM, EV and Drones etc., with special focus on themes of societal importance. Leveraging Technology to meet the goals of UNSDGs

Design thinking process to spur creativity

Opportunity for everyone to innovate, ideate, generate design solutions and start entrepreneurship irrespective of their age

Sustainability oriented approach enabling innovative solutions through Tinkering lab facilities in the Women’s Incubation Center

Capacity building of emerging women innovators in evolving technologies and designing their innovations from ideation to impactful solutions.

Partnerships with local industries / institutions in problem solving through innovative offerings in terms of products, services and processes and identifying innovation challenges

Public Private Partnership (PPP) to enable support for financial sustainability and encourage participation of central agencies, PSUs, other legal entities etc. to mobilize resources for running the program
