Roles & Responsibilities  As per University Handbook, 0.32, a Library Committee is a “general policy making body for the library service of the college which advices the Syndicate on any matter connected with the Library services including funds, books, staff etc.,
  1. Librarian is the Secretary of the Committee.
  2. One faculty from each Department and one student from each section considered as Library committee member deputed by the HOD concern Department .
  3. The function of the Library Committee is to support the functioning of the library so that it can facilitate the library development plans by advocating the library development activities with the management.
  4. The purpose of the Library Committee is to act as a channel of communication and dialogue between the college Library and its users.
  5. The Committee’s main objective is to aid in the establishment a bridge between the Library and the academic fraternity and the institute management.
  6. The Library Committee (LC) is appointed by the principal of the college and is a statutory Committee.
Functions of Library committee: 1.The Library committee monitors the procurement of books, Journals and the allocation of the budget according to the recommendation of the heads of the departments. 2.To supervise the allocation and utilization of funds for different departments for the purchase of books and journals for the Central and Departmental libraries. 3.Advises and reviews library policies for instruction, resources, services, and the facility. 4.Advises regarding library services, especially innovation, for the campus community. 5.Discusses budgetary issues for books, journals, databases, media, etc. 6.To maintain liaison between Central Library and various Academic Departments for the purchase of networking of Departmental libraries with the Central Library.

Anti Ragging/Anti Drugs Committee

Anti-Ragging Cell (ARC) was constituted in 2015 to curb ragging activities in the Institution as per the guidelines given by statutory bodies such as AICTE, UGC, State Government and JNTUH, Hyderabad. A committee was formed with both students and faculty as its members. Prof Ch. Ganapathy Reddy, Professor, ECE Dept is the coordinator cum nodal officer. The ARC aims to redress the grievances of students especially first year students. This cell strives to establish a conducive and safe environment in the institution for the freshly admitted students. The complaints received by the students are redressed with mutual consultations and based on the gravity of the complaint. The students are encouraged to file their complaints which are considered by the Anti-Ragging Cell. The meetings will be called by the Co-Ordinator to decide the course of action to be taken depending on the seriousness of the complaint.

Grievance Redressal mechanism: I. In case of any ragging or drug incident, the aggrieved can:
  • Approach any member of Anti-Ragging/ Anti-drug Committee or Nodal Officer or any HOD or Principal.
  • Lodge her complaint through grievances drop box placed in all departments.
  • Send an email to nodal officer at [email protected].
II. On receipt of a serious complaint related to ragging / drug, the following procedure will be followed:
  • A sub-committee will be formed under the chairmanship of Principal or any another senior faculty member which shall conduct a preliminary enquiry so as to ascertain the facts of the allegations by collecting circumstantial evidences as well as recorded statements of any witness/es including the complainant.
  • The inquiry shall be completed within a period of one week.
  • On completion of the inquiry, the sub-committee shall submit a report of its findings soon after completion of its inquiry.
  • The Principal shall then act upon the recommendations of the sub-committee with an intimation to the parents.
III.  What are the possible actions that can be taken against respondent?

Examination Committee /Result Review Committee

Introduction The office of “The Controller of Examinations” was instituted in the year 2018 on the conferment of UGC Autonomous status to the college. The Controller of Examinations (CoE) is heading the ‘Office of the Controller of Examinations’. The Examination Cell plays an important role in the conduction and evaluation process of the students, at each and every stage, including Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and Semester End Examinations (SEE) of both B.Tech and M.Tech. The Examination Cell consists of Controller of Examinations, Additional Controller of Examinations and supporting staff for the smooth conduction, monitor and to solve grievances of students related to examinations. FUNCTIONS
  • Conduct Internal and External Semester End Examinations of both B.Tech and M.Tech.
  • Conduct Central and State Government Service Exams such as UPSC, RRB, TS GENCO, TS TRANSCO, TSPSC, Police Recruitment etc.
  • Any Circular, Guidelines, Office Order, Notification received from the Chief Controller of Examinations (Principal) / Controller of Examinations are processed in the cell.
  • To work according to the guidelines of Controller of Examinations regarding distribution of Examination Forms, Fee Collections, issue of Hall Tickets, Transcripts etc.
  • Release of Academic Calendars, Preparation of Mid Examination and Semester End Examination Time Tables and send it to all the departments for smooth conduction of class work and examinations.
  • The Examination Cell shall prepare seating plan, arrangement of halls and requirement of Invigilators for the Semester End Examinations (SEE) and display them on the respective Notice Board/Website and Blocks.
  • Stationary pertaining to the Examinations such as answer sheets, drawing sheets, graph paper, trays, threads, water jugs etc. are made available.
  • The Exam Cell shall ensure that if any student caught during the exam by copying or chit or minor Xerox copies, then that case will be booked under malpractice, the same will be communicated to Principal through Controller of Examinations along with proofs.
  • The Examination Cell has procured sophisticated infrastructure to evaluate the student answer scripts.
  • All the results of both B.Tech and M.Tech (First Year to Final Year) shall be displayed on the respective student Notice Boards/College Website. A copy of the same shall be sent to the respective HODs.
  • Under the guidance of the Controller of Examinations, the Exam Cell shall analyze the exam results and the same shall be verified by the respective HODs. After due verification, copies of the result analysis shall be sent to HODs and the Principal.

Roles & Responsibilities of Chief Superintendent
  1. To appoint Controller of Examinations in consultation with the Management.
  2. To appoint Examination Committee Members in coordination with HODs and Controller of Examinations.
  3. To appoint internal Flying Squad, Invigilators and other human resources for smooth conduction of examination in the college in coordination with Controller of Examinations.

Roles & Responsibilities of Controller of Examinations
  1. Responsible for the conduct of all examinations and it shall be his duty to arrange for the preparation, scheduling, evaluation and reporting of all examinations and for the payment of remuneration to question paper setters and examiners and all other contingent matters connected with examinations.
  2. Direct superintending control over the Examination Cell, examination stores, computer section and records.
  3. Making necessary arrangements for the safe custody of office files connected with the conduct of examinations of the College, documents, certificates etc. by the officers under whom such documents are kept.
  4. Prepare Time Tables, Seating plan, arrangement of halls and requirements of Invigilators list for the Semester End Examinations (SEE) and display them on the concerned Notice Board/Website and Blocks.
  5. Shall conduct the Examinations (College, University, Govt./Private) and therefore make all other arrangements and be responsible for the due execution of all processes connected therewith.
  6. Pre-examination meeting will be held periodically to brief the members of committee with   regard   to   the   examination   procedures   and   the   roles and responsibilities to be performed before, during and after the examinations and the minutes of the meeting will be prepared and same shall be submitted to the Principal.
  7. All the results of both B.Tech and M.Tech (First Year to Final Year) shall be displayed on the respective student Notice Boards/College Website. A copy of the same shall be sent to the respective HODs.
  8. Taking special care to see that secrecy and confidentiality are kept in connection with all examinations of the College.

Roles & Responsibilities of Additional Controller of Examinations
  1. Member of Examination Committee.
  2. Preparation of examination schedules and examination calendar, in consultation with the Controller of Examinations.
  3. Communications at various levels of examination planning, preparation, execution, valuation, tabulation and mark list printing and distribution.
  4. Preparation and printing of answer booklets for various examinations.
  5. Make sure that the question papers are ready before the examinations are scheduled.
  6. Helping CoE in all his activities (finding question paper setters, examiners, actual organization and implementation of examination system)
  7. Make sure that the forms relating to examinations are ready in time (Seating Plan, hall tickets etc.)
  8. All other tasks required for the conduction and evaluation process of Examinations.
  9. Communicate with Controller of Examinations and HoDs related to all the examinations.
  10. Inform about the notifications/circulars related to examinations to the faculty and students.
  11. Addressing the grievances related to registrations and exams to Controller of Examinations and HoDs.
  12. Assigning the duty to staff properly during examination as per the duty chart.
  13. Under the guidance of the Controller of Examinations, the Exam Cell shall analyse the exam results and the same shall be verified by the respective HoDs. After due verification, copies of the result analysis shall be sent to HoDs and the Principal.

Functions of the Committee 
  1. The Counselling Committee ensures availability of Counselling service as and when required to the students and the staff with their concerns.
  2. The Counselling Committee helps students and staff to cope with the fast-paced changes in the stressful modern lifestyle and to correct their concerns on their own through Counselling and Guidance.
  3. The Committee provides assistance to enhance their ability to work on social and emotional development that will impact their productivity in their work life.
  4. Through Counselling the Committee gives a hope that there is a better way, or a way out with problems they can’t handle, can’t control, or just don’t know how to deal with.
  5. Every year two awareness sessions, one each for the first year students during Induction programme and one for the senior students, are conducted besides the regular counselling and guidance provided to the students who approach the Counsellor personally.
  6. At the end of the two sessions, feedback of the participants is collected and analysed to ascertain the impact.
 
 Roles and Responsibilities
  1. The Coordinator / Counsellor will conduct at least three programmes in an academic year on mental health & wellbeing, stress management, self-motivation, relationship management, interpersonal communication etc.
  1. The Counsellor will counsel the students who are sensitized through the above programmes when they approach her.
  1. The Committee Members will identify the students who may need psychological counselling and send them to the Counsellor.
  1. The Committee will conduct training programmes to the Faculty Proctors in handling the proctorial system better.

The widest range of environmental benefits will be provided by the nature for sustenance of life, but due to various indiscriminate activities of man such as industrialization, urbanization, burning of fossil fuels, mining, deforestation etc in the name of development exploring and exploiting available precious natural resources that leads to environmental degradation in various forms such as disasters, drastic changes in climatic conditions, contagious diseases right from Spanish flu to recently occurred corona Virus, entire globe had been experienced these since long ago. Man is running behind money and technology and least bothered about the consequences of nature, we need to pay huge in future towards our sustainability for good environmental quality in terms of fresh air, clean water, fertile soil, nutritious organic food etc. Though the governments take number of decisions towards climate protection in Paris Agreement, Sendai Framework, CoP, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS), unless and until we aware and involve taking right decisions and play in its implementation, nothing can be changed in the society. Now there is an urgent need to protect our environment, conserve the resources, maintain the ecological balance through sustainable development. FUNCTIONS OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

Convener:   To appoint duties to the club coordinators to guide and monitor the committee members for making of policies, environmental protection activities, events in the institution. Leading the club to organize various environmental awareness programs. Adapting the changes and improvements in the campus level policies in compliance with national and international standards for effective environmental protection. Taking the responsibility of implementing the green campus and environmental policies across the campus and stakeholders.

Coordinator and Members:

  To make the students & faculty to near by communication about the importance of sustainable living & pollution reduction through workshops, campaigns etc. To ensure the stake holders to protect the environment within the campus like making the campus plastic free zone . Composting & recycling of waste water & reduction overall waste generation. Promoting energy-efficient practices such as using renewable energy sources, installing energy-efficient appliances, and advocating for power-saving measures.. Collaborating with local environmental organizations, government agencies, and sustainability-focused businesses to leverage resources and expertise. Soliciting feedback from stakeholders, incorporating their input into policy drafts, and revising policies accordingly to address concerns or improve their effectiveness. Conducting thorough research on sustainable policies in other institutions, compiling data on best practices, and developing well-researched proposals for sustainable policies within the campus.

 Student Members:

Actively involves in implementation of policies at micro level. Encourage the fellow students to participate in environmental activities such as World Environment Day, Pollution Control Day etc. To promote sustainability & pollution reduction within the campus & outside the campus. Participate in campaigns, workshops to create awareness in nearby communities. To create awareness among the students about MoUs made between colleges and NGOs. Continuous engaged in Environmental promotional activities such as Swach Bharath campaigns, Haritha Haram etc.

SC/ST Cell

The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell is established in the institution to promote the special interests of students in the reserved category. It provides special inputs in areas where the students experience difficulties. The committee members of the Cell counsel and guide SC/ST students to manage the academic and personal issues of campus life effectively The objectives of the SC/ST Cell -> To ensure provisions of an environment where all such students feel safe and secure. -> To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus. -> To create awareness of the facilities available on campus. -> To address the issues of SC/ST students to overcome their inhibitions and concerns. Skill and Personality Development Centre (SPDC), an AICTE Funded Project established in the year 2019 conducts special classes every week as per the Time table on Soft skills, Communication Skills, Employability Skills, Career guidance, Technical competencies for the SC/ST students. In addition, guest lectures are arranged by the SPDC Centre to educate the students on their career opportunities and the skills they need to build up during their course.

Functions of the Cell: The Timetable Committee plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the academic schedule for students and faculty. The primary functions of the timetable committee include:
  • -> Design the academic schedule for each semester by considering the requirements of various   departments and programs.
  • -> Allocating time slots for lectures, laboratory sessions, tutorials, and other academic activities
  • -> Ensuring efficient utilization of available resources such as classrooms, laboratories and faculty    members and balancing the workload among faculty members and departments to avoid conflicts and overburdening
  • -> Coordinating the scheduling of the elective courses and specialized tracks within the curriculum.
  • -> Collaborating with various academic departments to understand their specific needs and constraints. Ensuring that departmental preferences and constraints are taken into account when creating timetables.

  • -> Communicate the finalised schedule to all stake holders including staff, students and administrative staff and also providing timely updates and information about change adjustment in the schedule.

Objectives of IETE-Student Forum These are the objectives collectively contribute to the development of students in the field of electronics and telecommunication.

Roles and Responsibilities IETE Student Forum committee members
  1. President (Principal): Chairperson of the committee Provide overall leadership to the committee, Represent the forum in official events and meetings.
  2. Convener (HOD, ECE Department): Coordinate and oversee the activities of the forum and selects the Faculty Advisors, Vice- President, Secretory, Treasurer and committee members. Over all final level Advisory of Committee meetings, Events planning and conducting.
  3. Faculty Coordinator and Faculty Advisors: Promoting the membership drive, supporting President and convener in electing all the student committee members, planning events and dates of the events coordinating with president and all levels of student committee, organizing the events with all the facilities required for the events.Preparing circular and Report for individual events and finally summarizing the events reports in coordination with Vice- President, Secretory, Treasurer and committee members.
  4. Vice-President: Helps Faculty adviser in planning and organizing the events in coordination with Secretory, Treasurer and committee members.
  5. Secretory: Helps Faculty adviser and Vice President in planning and organizing the events in coordination with committee members of each section.
  6. Treasurer: All the financial aspects functioning under the advisory of president and faculty coordinators are taken care for events whenever required.
  7. Committee members: Two Committee members from each section helps in communicating with their sections in all respect like sending circulars of events, encouraging to participate in the events clarifying any doubts related to events Procedure.
Benefits of IETE-ISF
  1. Priority for publishing their papers in Journal of Education.
  2. Can also subscribe for other publications such as IETE Journal of Research and IETE Technical Review (available online).
  3. ISF students are welcome to attend IETE technical programs in India at reduced Regn. fees.
  4. ISF member will be issued with an Identity Card.
The institutions where Forums are registered shall receive the following benefits:
  1. A suitable grant to the IETE forum, commensurate with the membership strength to conduct various activities of the forum.
  2. One complete set of technical publications of the IETE including IETE Journal of Research, IETE Technical Review, IETE Journal of Education, IETE Newsletter will be sent to ISF coordinator at the Institution for students in the College Library.
  3. Regular interaction with Local Centres to have support from Corporate members.
  4. Possibility of Electronics Hobby Centres in Institution with industry support
  5. Conduct of Competitions such as Quiz, Technical paper Contest, Essay competition, Technical Visits to industries and conduct of inter-collegiate functions.
  6. Consideration of special grant for ISF during annual fests.
  7. ISF Students after passing from Engineering Colleges, are invited to become corporate member of an elite professional society IETE and will be given reduction in fee payment, equivalent to the amount paid at the time of joining ISF, while enrolling as an Associate Member of IETE. This offer will be valid upto 12 months after passing the exam.

  1. 1. Provide leadership and direction to the canteen committee members. Set goals and objectives for the committee to enhance the overall functioning of the canteen.
  2. 2. Coordinate the activities of the canteen committee members, including student and staff representatives. Facilitate communication and collaboration among committee members.
  3. 3. Organize and preside over regular committee meetings. Set the agenda for meetings and ensure that discussions are focused on improving canteen operations.
  4. 4. Work with the committee and canteen coordinators to establish and manage the budget. Review financial reports and ensure that financial resources are allocated effectively.

Post to be published in press media should be tagged as @Press. The widest range of environmental benefits will be provided by the nature for sustenance of life, but due to various indiscriminate activities of man such as industrialization, urbanization, burning of fossil fuels, mining, deforestation etc in the name of development exploring and exploiting available precious natural resources that leads to environmental degradation in various forms such as disasters, drastic changes in climatic conditions, contagious diseases right from Spanish flu to recently occurred corona Virus, entire globe had been experienced these since long ago. Man is running behind money and technology and least bothered about the consequences of nature, we need to pay huge in future towards our sustainability for good environmental quality in terms of fresh air, clean water, fertile soil, nutritious organic food etc. Though the governments take number of decisions towards climate protection in Paris Agreement, Sendai Framework, CoP, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS), unless and until we aware and involve taking right decisions and play in its implementation, nothing can be changed in the society. Now there is an urgent need to protect our environment, conserve the resources, maintain the ecological balance through sustainable development. In this regard, GNITS as an academic institution, has come forward to take appropriate measures to protect the environment and conserve the resources with the help of students and staff as a part of sustainable Development Goals.

FUNCTIONS OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

To ensure the institution environmental friendly/green campus through pollution free initiatives. To make the adaptable policies to make our institute sustainable campus. Bridging the gap between institution and government, NGOs, Environmental field experts etc. by establishing networking with them. Pertaining and implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the institute level policies. Smooth conduction of events of the club by organizing various Observance of Days to protect and Nurture Environment periodically.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

Convener:   To appoint duties to the club coordinators to guide and monitor the committee members for making of policies, environmental protection activities, events in the institution. Leading the club to organize various environmental awareness programs. Adapting the changes and improvements in the campus level policies in compliance with national and international standards for effective environmental protection. Taking the responsibility of implementing the green campus and environmental policies across the campus and stakeholders.

Coordinator and Members:

  To make the students & faculty to near by communication about the importance of sustainable living & pollution reduction through workshops, campaigns etc. To ensure the stake holders to protect the environment within the campus like making the campus plastic free zone . Composting & recycling of waste water & reduction overall waste generation. Promoting energy-efficient practices such as using renewable energy sources, installing energy-efficient appliances, and advocating for power-saving measures.. Collaborating with local environmental organizations, government agencies, and sustainability-focused businesses to leverage resources and expertise. Soliciting feedback from stakeholders, incorporating their input into policy drafts, and revising policies accordingly to address concerns or improve their effectiveness. Conducting thorough research on sustainable policies in other institutions, compiling data on best practices, and developing well-researched proposals for sustainable policies within the campus.

 Student Members:

Actively involves in implementation of policies at micro level. Encourage the fellow students to participate in environmental activities such as World Environment Day, Pollution Control Day etc. To promote sustainability & pollution reduction within the campus & outside the campus. Participate in campaigns, workshops to create awareness in nearby communities. To create awareness among the students about MoUs made between colleges and NGOs. Continuous engaged in Environmental promotional activities such as Swach Bharath campaigns, Haritha Haram etc.
